Square Enix has officially announced the release date for 'Life is Strange: Reunion,' the latest installment in the 'Life is Strange' series. Developed by Deck Nine Games, the title is set to launch on March 26 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

'Life is Strange= Reunion' serves as the final chapter concluding the story of series protagonist Max Caulfield and her best friend Chloe Price, acting as a direct sequel to the previous installment, 'Double Exposure.'

Picking up where the previous game left off, the story is set at Caledon University, where Max works as a photography teacher. It begins when Max returns from a weekend trip to find the campus engulfed in flames. With only three days to uncover the cause of the fire, Max must use her regained time-rewinding powers to reveal hidden secrets.

The most notable aspect of the revealed trailer is the return of Chloe Price. In the official canon, Chloe was considered deceased following the events of the first game's ending, and subsequent titles often highlighted Max's longing for her friend. However, following the ending of 'Double Exposure,' the two timelines have merged, and for reasons yet to be revealed, Chloe appears at Caledon University.

According to the developers, Chloe is plagued by nightmares of a past she never lived and is losing her sense of reality. She seeks out Max at Caledon University to ask for her help.

For the first time in the series, players can control both Max and Chloe, using their unique abilities to progress through the journey. Max utilizes her ability to rewind time through her Polaroid camera, while Chloe uses the 'Backtalk' ability seen in 'Before the Storm' to persuade others and gain access to restricted areas.

'Life is Strange= Reunion' launches on March 26 and will be available in various editions, including a Twin Pack bundle that includes 'Double Exposure,' and a Deluxe Edition featuring a digital soundtrack, art book, and documentary. Additionally, all players who purchase the game by May 5 will receive a classic outfit DLC for Max and Chloe.
