The Professional Esports Association (PEA) today announced the addition of two new members to the premiere North American association of esports teams. Team Dignitas, owned by the Philadelphia 76ers and Misfits, who count the Miami Heat as investors, have joined the PEA as its 8th and 9th members respectively.

Dignitas and Misfits, two of North America's most popular esports organizations, bring representation across numerous titles to the significant esports footprint of the existing 7 PEA member organizations. Dignitas and Misfits join founding PEA franchises Team Solo Mid (TSM), Cloud 9, Team Liquid, Counter Logic Gaming, NRG Esports, Immortals and Complexity. Dignitas is honored to join the existing PEA franchises in an effort to collectively work with publishers, players, the community, sponsors and media to further the development of the North American esports ecosystem," said Dignitas CEO Jonathan Kemp.

Misfits is incredibly excited to announce our joining of the PEA alongside Dignitas. We are eager to work with our new partners to advance the ball forward on many team and player- based initiatives that we believe will have a lasting impact on the North American esports scene" said Misfits CEO Ben Spoont.
