Original story:

Bilibili Gaming have eliminated Rare Atom from the 2022 LPL Spring Playoffs in a 3-1 victory. BLG will move onto the second round of the post-season to play Top Esports on Monday, March 28.

As the respective 8th and 9th seeds in the 2022 LPL Spring Playoffs, Bilibili Gaming and Rare Atom was expected to be a contentious match, especially considering that AD carry Jian "Uzi" Zi-Hao has recently stepped away from competition following synergy issues with the BLG squad.

While Bilibili Gaming AD carry Chiu "Doggo" Tzu-Chuan more than held his own against Rare Atom's Hu "iBoy" Xian-Zhao, the results of the series hinged on the mid lane matchup. Rare Atom won the first game behind a strong LeBlanc performance from Chen "Strive" Liang, but when Chu "FoFo" Chun-Lan got LeBlanc in games 2 and 3, Bilibili Gaming was able to take the series to match point in their favor and put RA on the backfoot.

On red side in game 4, Bilibili Gaming decided to ban LeBlanc away from Strive due to the nature of how the series had played out in the first three games, which ended up being the correct call. Strive's Ahri was serviceable, but FoFo's Zoe was immaculate and the rest of the BLG squad wasted no time in pushing their advantages forward to take the series 3-1.

Bilibili Gaming's next match is against 5th seed Top Esports in round 2 of the 2022 LPL Spring Playoffs, but first, the other round 1 match of the post-season must be played. 7th seed and defending world champion EDward Gaming will be taking on 10th seed FunPlus Phoenix on Sunday, March 27. The loser of the match will join Rare Atom in post-season elimination, while the winner will move onto round 2 opposing 6th seed Weibo Gaming.
