So many familiar faces! LCK 2021 Summer split media day photo journal

On June 2, the 2021 LCK Summer split media day took place at Yongsan, I’Park CGV movie theaters. Except for DWG KIA’s head coach, Kim “kkOma” Jeong-gyun and mid laner, Heo “ShowMaker” Su, who are in quarantine after they returned from Iceland, every other team were in attendance to share their thoughts and answer questions from various Korean esports media outlets about the upcoming Summer split.

It felt like a lifetime ago since we at Inven had a chance to meet with the players in person, so it felt even more special to see them on stage. Yongsan was the very first venue to the LCK, back when they were known as OGN Champions in 2012, so it felt even more special to return here for this year’s media day. Four tickets to Worlds are on the line (and a direct ticket into Worlds for the champions), this year’s Summer split will look to raise the level of competition by many notches. With opening day less than a week away, we at Inven captured not only our media day experience, but also the LCK teams’ stories through our camera lens.
