BeryL has re-signed with DAMWON Gaming. On Nov. 20, DAMWON Gaming announced that they’ve re-signed Cho “BeryL” Geon-hee. BeryL had been in DAMWON Gaming from the beginning of the team. Recently, he had become a free agent as his original contract expired. With the return, BeryL will be serving as the captain of the team.

BeryL started as a bot laner in the team, but transitioned to a support. After transitioning, BeryL carried a major role in DAMWON Gaming’s promotion last year, and reached the quarterfinals at the World Championship. This year, BeryL’s aggressive playstyle was really outstanding, contributing to the team winning the World Championship.

Recently, several players were released from DAMWON Gaming as free agents, such as Jang “Nuguri” Ha-gwon, Lee “Flame” Ho-jong, Ryu “Hoit” Ho-seong, and Shin “Nuclear” Jung-hyun. They compensated for losing their coaching staff, Lee “Zefa” Jae-min and Yang “Daeny” Dae-in to T1 by signing head coach Kim “kkOma” Jeong-gyun.
