Duncan Jones wants to make a Warcraft sequel and is waiting to hear from Legendary

Director Duncan Jones mentioned via Twitter about the possibility of a sequel for Warcraft, a film which chronicles the eternal strife between orcs and humans.


On February 9th, when Jones was asked by a fan about the possibility of a sequel, he replied, “I’d love it to happen!” He also added that he is waiting to hear from Legendary Pictures, the production company behind Warcraft.


Released in June 2016, Warcraft: The Beginning is a live action film based on the Warcraft universe found in Blizzard Entertainment’s video games; the film covers stories from Warcraft: Orcs & Humans (1994). Directed and co-written by Jones and featuring Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Ben Foster, Toby Kebbell, and Ben Schnetzer, Warcraft grossed $220 million in China and $433 million worldwide.
