Blizzard has announced the cancellation of the broadcast of Hearthstone Masters Tour Los Angeles due to the growing risks of the spread of COVID-19 in California. The state government has issued a “stay at home” order to all residents.

The matches are set to take place online as scheduled and as of right now, Blizzard is working on a solution to show the Top 8 matches to fans around the world. On Twitter, Hearthstone Esports was asked if players would be allowed to stream their own games, in which they replied “To preserve competitive integrity we cannot allow streaming during competition. You can record gameplay and upload to YouTube after each day is completely over.

Previously, the publisher had announced the format change of the Masters Tour Los Angeles to online format to protect player, staff and public safety. Players that had booked their travels to the event were told to be entitled to compensation up to $1,500.
