NCSoft released the 'Golden Desert Abella' update for its PC online MMORPG Lineage Remastered (hereinafter Lineage) on October 7, adding a new class, region, and specialized server. Along with the 13th class 'Wolyeongsa', player growth support features are also introduced, including a new server capped at Level 99, a total of 1,000 'Elixir EXP', and a record-high 12 restoration coupons.
The core of this update is Lineage's 13th class, 'Wolyeongsa'. A ranged assassin class utilizing its exclusive weapon 'Chakram' and high mobility, it features a combat style where players directly control engagement distances by choosing when to enter, evade, pursue, or disengage.
'Wolyeongsa' utilizes a 'Dual Action System' that splits a single skill into a primary main skill and a secondary sub-skill. Players can choose when to activate the second skill, allowing the same technique to be operated in different ways depending on usage order and timing. Signature skills include 'Arc Shift', which moves position twice, and 'Moon Snare', which sets a trap to detonate at a desired moment.
The new region 'Abella' has also opened. Players can select hunting zones according to their purpose, such as the 'Twilight Mountains' for obtaining growth buffs, the 'Illusion Forest' focused on enhancing survivability, the timed dungeon 'Tower of Insolence Underground Waterway', and 'Tamas Temple' where rewards scale up.
Collecting all 3 types of 'Sacred Stones' obtainable from each region allows players to craft 'Abella's Supreme Treasure Pouch'. From this treasure pouch, items such as Legendary Whetstones and Mythic Magic Whetstones can be acquired.
A new specialized server, 'Abella', has also opened its doors. To narrow the initial growth gap for new and returning players, a Level 99 growth limit and certain system restrictions have been applied. Extra EXP benefits are provided to support reaching Level 96 within approximately two months, and event equipment can be converted into permanent equipment using 'Medals of Valor'.
To celebrate the update, the 'Abella Episode Coupon' can be claimed per server before maintenance on December 16. Upon using the coupon, all players will receive 'Abella's Elixir Cube', which yields a total of 1,000 'Elixir EXP' over 60 days, along with crafting materials for 'Wolyeongsa's Growth Secret Tome'.
The main servers and existing specialized servers offer 'Class Change Coins'. On the new specialized server 'Abella', players can receive up to 6 'Completed Elixirs' based on level achievements.
In the fourth quarter of this year, 'Fierce Battle: Infinite Battle', an inter-server expansion of the existing 'Infinite Battle', will also be added. It will proceed in a 3-round time attack format with a total of 30 servers competing across groups, allowing players to obtain Legendary weapons and skill books depending on the stage. The server that defeats the final boss will also receive a dedicated special buff.
Player benefits will also be expanded. 'Character Gifting', available once a month for characters Level 90 or higher, will transition into a permanent service. A record-high 12 'Signature Restoration Coupons' will be provided, with 'Vambrace' newly added to the restoration targets. In addition, 'Live Care' and 'ALL Class Change' events will be held.
