KRAFTON India has joined The Mobile Premiere 2026 as the official partner of the event's Indie Segment, giving Indian indie developers the chance to show their games to a global audience. The Mobile Premiere is a live showcase for mobile games organised by GamingonPhone, and it will debut alongside the sixth GamingonPhone Awards in Bangkok, Thailand, on October 28th.

According to a release, every Indian indie title featured at the showcase will receive INR 1 lakh (100,000 rupees) in prize money through the KIGI Indie Excellence Honors. The awards build on the KRAFTON India Gaming Incubator (KIGI), the company's programme for emerging studios across the country. Only indie studios registered and based in India are eligible.

GamingonPhone has described The Mobile Premiere as the 'world's first and only showcase' dedicated exclusively to mobile games. Studios can join for free, and the organiser said there will be no slot fees 'now or ever'. Developers and publishers of any size can use the showcase to reveal new titles and trailers and to share announcements with players, media and partners.

What KRAFTON India's partnership involves

According to the release, KIGI supports studios with financial assistance, mentorship and access to global platforms. The release said the Indie Segment partnership aims to support and recognise indie studios in India, and to give promising local developers more visibility next to established companies. It named NetEase Games, OUTFIT7 and FunPlus among the well-known studios appearing in the wider showcase.

GamingonPhone runs the event, but its overall direction is guided by The Executive Foundry, an advisory board of games industry veterans. Members include Anuj Sahani, Head of Gaming Incubator and Director of Publishing at KRAFTON India.

"KRAFTON India's support for the Indie segment is a great step towards giving homegrown studios more visibility," said Tousif Hasan Biswas, Founder and CEO of GamingonPhone. "India's indie developers have some incredible stories to tell, and with KRAFTON India joining The Mobile Premiere, they now have a bigger stage to share those stories with a wider global audience."

How Indian studios can take part

Indie developers and publishers with games registered and based in India can apply for the KIGI Indie Excellence Honors through a free Studio Interest Form. GamingonPhone said it will reveal the selected studios and games, along with more details on the Indian indie segment, ahead of the event.

Games industry professionals who want to attend can apply for a free pass to The Mobile Premiere and the GamingonPhone Awards. The awards ceremony is held every year and brings together developers, publishers, service providers and industry leaders from across mobile gaming. It recognises games, teams and ideas from the past year.
