NC's upcoming MMORPG 'Aion 2' made a surprise appearance on stage at the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event.
Samsung Electronics held 'Galaxy Unpacked 2026' on the 22nd at 2:00 PM local time in London (10:00 PM KST) to unveil its new Galaxy smartphones. The event drew global attention as the long-rumored next-generation foldable phones—the Galaxy Fold 8, Fold 8 Ultra, and Z Flip 8—were finally revealed.
'Aion 2' was featured as a prime example of the Galaxy Fold eight series' superior gaming performance during a demonstration showcasing gameplay on the Fold 8 Ultra's large screen and the AI-powered graphics optimization technology, 'Neural Frame Fusion.'
This is not the first collaboration between NC and Samsung Electronics; the two companies have consistently maintained a partnership focused on integrating cutting-edge technology.
At last year's G-STAR, Samsung provided two types of OLED monitors for the NC booth to be used for game demonstrations. Furthermore, the first mobile demo of 'Aion 2' was conducted on Samsung Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold 7.
Notably, the technical collaboration between the two companies resulted in graphics optimization for 'Aion 2' that boosted its frame rate (FPS) by approximately 40%.
The appearance at this year's Galaxy Unpacked is seen as an extension of the cooperation the two companies have built across both hardware and gaming content. Industry observers are now watching to see if this partnership will lead to further optimization between future Galaxy products and 'Aion 2'.
