The South Korean national esports team has partnered with the global platform Google Play ahead of the Summer Asian Games.
The Korea e-Sports Association (KeSPA, President Kim Young-man) announced on the 15th that it has signed an official partnership with Google Play (Google LLC) for the South Korean national esports team. Under this agreement, Google Play will support the overall activities of the national esports team competing in the Summer Asian Games and take the lead in elevating the status of Korean esports.
The two organizations will carry out multifaceted marketing activities utilizing the national team's intellectual property (IP). In particular, they plan to produce advertising content featuring the athletes in line with the official national team schedule this year to broaden their reach to the public. They will also provide special benefits to Google Play Points members, creating a foundation for fans to engage with and support the national esports team.
Meanwhile, the association has confirmed the national team's slogan as 'See the Unseen / Our National Team,' and will launch campaigns with its partners to raise awareness of the national esports team. Through this partnership, Google Play joins the ranks of official sponsors for the national esports team.
To date, official partners supporting the national esports team include leading companies and organizations from various sectors, such as Google Play, Disney+, Hanwha Life, Goalstudio, Logitech G, Sidiz, Photogray, Busan Metropolitan City, and Levion.
An official from the association stated, "This partnership with Google Play, a leader in the global market, will be a great source of strength for our athletes," adding, "We will do our utmost to ensure our national team players can perform at their best and achieve great results at the Asian Games."
