ABUTTON (CEO Kim Dae-hwon) unveiled its latest project, the co-op roguelite FPS 'Guns and Dragons,' on the 14th. Alongside the announcement, the company launched official pages on Steam and the Epic Games Store and released an action-packed gameplay trailer.
'Guns and Dragons' is a roguelite FPS set in a fantasy world infused with magitech. Players take on the role of an engineer deployed to save a planet in crisis, fighting against a powerful dragon legion. The core of the game is 'build play,' where players grow their characters and weapons through repeated combat. A key feature is the system that allows players to evolve weapons into various forms by combining 'Runes' and 'Cores' acquired during battle.
The newly released video showcases fast-paced shooting action, a real-time weapon modification system, and the thrill of both solo play and co-op sessions for up to four players. ABUTTON is currently accelerating development with the goal of launching 'Guns and Dragons' in Steam Early Access later this year.
Park Jun-woo, Director of 'Guns and Dragons,' explained the background of the game's development, stating, "Despite the clear appeal of the PvE FPS genre, there haven't been many solid options in the market recently." He added, "ABUTTON provides a flexible environment where developers' creative ideas are actively reflected rather than buried, allowing the entire team to pour their passion into creating a truly unique title."
ABUTTON CEO Kim Dae-hwon emphasized, "ABUTTON is simultaneously operating teams that pursue bold and innovative projects like 'Guns and Dragons' and 'Project EA,' alongside our large-scale title 'Zeus.' Through this two-track strategy, we aim to expand our development capabilities in multiple directions."
Meanwhile, the highly anticipated MMORPG 'Zeus: God of Arrogance,' developed by ABUTTON and published by Com2uS, has also begun its official rollout with the recent launch of a teaser site. With 'Zeus' targeting a release in the third quarter, ABUTTON is expected to solidify its market position this year by delivering a series of both large-scale and innovative new titles.
