Netmarble announced on the 22nd that it has launched a major summer update for the MMORPG 'Raven 2,' developed by Netmarble Monster, which includes the addition of a new region called 'Valtar.' The update also introduces new growth systems, expanded content, and a variety of commemorative events.

The centerpiece of this update is the new region, 'Baltar.' Designed as high-level content for players level 85 and above, it consists of nine hunting grounds across two areas: 'Beno Imperial City' and 'Lichtendorf.' Based on the concept of the 'Heart of the Frozen Empire,' the story follows the quest to reclaim the sun in the sunless empire of Baltar. Netmarble plans to expand the Baltar region sequentially, starting with this first update.

A new growth system called 'Skill Awakening' has also been added. Players can attempt to awaken all unique skills, further broadening the scope of character growth. Additionally, the 'Special Forces' level cap has been raised to 180, and new content, 'Dimensional Rift' level 11, has been added to strengthen growth elements for high-level players.

Events commemorating the update are also underway. Completing 'Bartram's Special 7-Day Mission' rewards players with a limited-time 'Sun Essence' collection, while 'Bartram's Special 14-Day Attendance Event' offers items such as Unique Rune Selection Chests. Various other mission events will provide growth resources, including Rune Enhancement Stones and Skill Enhancement Stones.

'Raven 2' is the official sequel to the action RPG 'Raven,' which won six awards, including the Grand Prize at the 2015 Korea Game Awards. It is a MMORPG set in a dark fantasy world where gods and demons coexist. Supporting cross-platform play on mobile and PC, the game inherits the world-building of the original while expanding into a large-scale MMORPG.

Through this summer update, Netmarble plans to provide new regions and growth content for top-level players while supporting character development through a variety of events.
