T1 successfully survived the lower bracket of the '2026 LoL Mid-Season Invitational (MSI)' bracket stage on the 6th at the Daejeon Convention Center, defeating FURIA 3-0. While the set score was 3-0, the final game was far from easy. Having secured their first win of the bracket stage, T1 will now face the European powerhouse G2 Esports on the 8th.

Early in the game, Keria's Renata and Ayu's Senna were traded in the bottom lane. T1 gained a significant lead in lane across both the bottom and top, widening the gold gap right from the start. As they pushed the bottom lane, Oner's Vi and Faker's Taliyah joined for a four-man dive, but FURIA anticipated the move and quickly rotated Nasus and Aurora to the scene, allowing FURIA to come out ahead.
Although T1 held the edge in macro play, FURIA proved superior in skirmish design. When T1 invaded the enemy red buff area, FURIA responded with quick reactions to win the skirmish and recover the gold deficit.
Nevertheless, T1 continued to force skirmishes. They secured kills in the top lane and successfully took the Dragon. During the Rift Herald fight, a 4v4 broke out while Faker's Taliyah and Guigo's Gnar were still in the bottom lane; however, Gnar joined the fight via Teleport, leading to a victory for FURIA in that engagement.
Both teams displayed impressive mechanics during the Dragon teamfight, where FURIA pushed T1 back to secure their first Dragon. In a subsequent mid-lane skirmish, T1 destroyed the mid tier-1 tower, leading to an even trade of kills. T1 maintained side-lane priority, but FURIA remained formidable in 5v5 teamfights thanks to Aurora's firepower and a well-fed Nasus.
At the Scuttle Crab near the Baron pit, Phase's Kalista suddenly engaged alongside Renata to take down the troublesome Nasus, allowing T1 to successfully secure Baron. However, T1 was aced by FURIA during the Baron power play, bringing the gold difference back to even.
T1 needed to shift tactics from full-scale teamfights to side-lane advantages and leveraging their three Dragon stacks. As both teams converged for the next Dragon, T1 attempted to break through first. Seraphine and Varus were traded, but FURIA pushed T1 back to claim the Dragon.
However, after catching Aurora, T1 took the Baron again. This time, they played cautiously, won the final teamfight, and defeated FURIA 3-0 to advance to the next round, where they will meet G2 Esports.
