In the 2026 League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) regular season Round 2 match held at LoL PARK in Jongno on the 28th, T1 defeated kt Rolster 2-0, securing the conditions to clinch second place on their own. They are now also in contention for first place. Conversely, with this loss, kt Rolster has confirmed a fourth-place finish for the regular season.
The two teams showed contrasting strategies in Game 1. 'Perfect' Lee Seung-min's Yorick pulled off a superplay, securing first blood while escaping a gank, and with 'Bdd' Kwak Bo-seong's Ryze roaming to pick up a second kill, the balance in the top lane completely collapsed. kt Rolster attempted to snowball the game around Yorick, but T1's counterattack was formidable. T1 consistently found openings away from Yorick, gradually shifting the momentum in their favor.
kt Rolster tried to turn the tide with a Baron play. After a prolonged standoff while kt Rolster chipped away at Baron, T1 managed to pick off 'Cuzz' Moon Woo-chan's Wukong and secured the Baron buff for themselves. T1 then pushed toward the bottom lane. Although kt Rolster sent Yorick to the top lane to defend with minimal numbers, T1 executed a bold dive, swept up the kills, and destroyed the Nexus to take Game 1.
In Game 2, 'Perfect's Jayce again drew first blood with a solo kill. Almost simultaneously, kt Rolster caught 'Oner' Moon Hyeon-joon's Xin Zhao in the mid-jungle area. 'Perfect' widened the top lane gap further with a second solo kill. 'Faker' Lee Sang-hyeok's Akali caught 'Bdd's Annie with the help of 'Phase' Kim Su-hwan's Ashe ultimate skill, but was finished off by 'Cuzz's arriving Lee Sin. The fed Jayce later solo-killed Akali again in a side lane, and kt Rolster secured the Mountain Soul.
However, the strength of T1's composition lay in teamfights. The destructive power of their top-side trio—Olaf, Xin Zhao, and Akali—was as potent as expected, which they proved by trading kills evenly despite being at a numerical disadvantage. Eager to seal the win, kt Rolster repeatedly forced fights around Baron, but T1 ultimately turned the game around with a massive victory in the third teamfight. Around the 34-minute mark, T1 wiped out the enemy team following a spectacular play by 'Keria' Ryu Min-seok, securing the win in Game 2.
