Blomics (CEO Cha Ji-hoon) announced on the 28th that it has officially launched 'Fortress 3 Blue,' a new shooting game developed by CCR (CEO Kim Kwang-hoe), simultaneously on PC, Google Play, and the Apple App Store.
Fortress 3 Blue is a 30th-anniversary title based on the intellectual property of 'Fortress,' the top-ranked artillery game and a title once dubbed a 'national game.' It inherits the intense combat style of 'Fortress 2 Blue,' widely considered the most popular entry in the series, and features over 20 iconic characters from the franchise.
A key feature is its support for both a real-time mode, centered on 4K graphics-based live combat, and a turn-based mode for traditional strategic play. The real-time mode is designed for fast-paced matches that conclude within 100 seconds, maximizing the thrill of quick, intense battles. The new title fully supports cross-platform play between PC and mobile, allowing for seamless gaming regardless of the device, and marks the first official PC title in the series in 12 years.
Alongside the official launch, a wealth of core content has been added to enhance the fun of competition and progression. Three new characters have joined the roster: 'Mecha Punch,' which utilizes various combat styles based on its transformation form; 'Evil Bella,' who attacks using blood and bats; and 'Baseball Boy,' who employs ball-based strike combat. Among them, Mecha Punch, specially created for the 30th anniversary, is drawing significant attention from users for its unique transformation-based combat concept. Additionally, new items for the series' popular 'Super Tank' unit have been added for the first time in six years, and a new 'Pro League' system—featuring ongoing individual and clan-based tournaments—has been introduced to heighten the intensity of player competition.
To celebrate the launch, Blomics is hosting a variety of events with diverse rewards. Upon first login, players will receive iconic series tanks such as Cannon, Carrot, and Multi-Tank, along with exclusive items and resources. A special 7-day attendance event allows players to earn a legendary-grade character just by logging in daily. Furthermore, players can obtain abundant game resources and items through coupons revealed daily for 10 days. The official community is also hosting various user-participation events, including a 'Guess the BGM' event featuring nostalgic background music from Fortress 2 Blue, as well as opportunities to share strategies and tips.
Yoon Seok-ho, Chief Producer who has led the development of every Fortress series title since 1995, stated, Fortress 3 Blue is a work that preserves the unique romance and sentiment of the series while implementing it in a sophisticated way tailored to the modern gaming environment. He added, We will do our best to provide new fun and meaningful memories to the users who have loved and remembered Fortress for such a long time.
