BNK FEARX kept their hopes of qualifying for the 'Road to MSI' alive after defeating Kiwoom DRX in the second round of the 2026 LCK regular season at LoL PARK in Jongno on the 27th. Their qualification will now depend on the results of their final second-round match against T1 and the performance of sixth-place Hanjin Brion.

The following is the full text of the interview with Head Coach Park Jun-seok and 'Taeyoon' Kim Tae-yoon.

Q. Congratulations on today's win. Could you give us a brief overview of the match.

Head Coach Park Jun-seok = Both Games 1 and 2 started poorly due to too many early-game mishaps. In Game 1, we managed to turn things around by effectively countering the opponent's Ryze ultimate in the mid-lane. However, Game 2 spiraled out of control much more, and there wasn't much we could do. For Game 3, I felt our pick-ban phase gave us the advantage, so we just needed to execute; despite some mid-game mishaps, we managed to pull off a win after some ups and downs.

'Taeyoon' = In all three games, we tried to play according to our prepared pick-ban strategy, but there were moments where things didn't go as planned, leading to losses or difficult game states. Game 3 was tough, but we all worked together to win, and I think we succeeded.

Q. What do you think went well today that led to the victory?

Head Coach Park Jun-seok = The key factor was that when we were at a disadvantage, we acknowledged it and found the right turns to counter the opponent's aggression. We didn't rush our responses, waited for the right moment, and then executed well in teamfights during objective contests.

Q. You picked Top Shen in Game 3. What was the reasoning behind that choice.

Head Coach Park Jun-seok = There were about three or four viable picks at that moment, but 'Clear' Song Hyeon-min strongly insisted on playing Shen, saying he wanted to pick something that would benefit the team. I agreed with his reasoning, so we went with Shen.

Q. Since joining the team via trade, you have been receiving consecutive Player of the Match (POM) awards.

'Taeyoon' = Aside from me, the other four members of this team have been playing together for a long time. I felt it was an environment where any reasonably skilled ADC could easily adapt and fit in. BNK FEARX is already a team specialized in bot-lane operations, so I just play comfortably, and I think I'm getting the spotlight thanks to my teammates.

Q. Coach, do you think 'Taeyoon' is successfully adapting to the team's bot-lane-oriented playstyle?

Head Coach Park Jun-seok = I think he is filling a lot of gaps. I mentioned in our last interview that 'Taeyoon' is good at coordinating; even when scrims don't go well, he's quick to say things like, "Let's do better next time" or "That was my mistake." Thanks to that, I think the team has integrated very well.

Q. You were ahead in Game 3 today, but there was a tense moment when the opponent 'Ucal' Son Woo-hyeon's Mel made a great play. How did you intend to close out the game?

'Taeyoon' = First of all, we maintained a one-item lead throughout. Personally, I'm not particularly afraid of Mel when I'm playing Lucian. Rather than worrying about Mel's growth, I felt that as long as we set up our teamfight positioning correctly, we wouldn't lose, so I felt fine from the mid-to-late game onwards.

Q. Despite today's win, there is criticism regarding the large gap between 'VicLa' Lee Dae-kwang's high and low performance peaks.

Head Coach Park Jun-seok = We are aware of that internally to some extent. Our coaches, Shin Hyung-seop and Nam Tae, are providing a lot of feedback on that, so I believe it will improve.

Q. Your final regular-season match is against T1. This is another crucial match for your 'Road to MSI' hopes. How do you plan to prepare?

Head Coach Park Jun-seok = I think this is our last coin. T1 has improved significantly since the start of the season and I consider them a strong team, but I don't think we are necessarily the underdogs who will just get pushed around. We are determined to play our own game and win.

'Taeyoon' = I feel the same. I acknowledge they are a strong team, but I don't think we should play timidly. It's an important match, but I hope we can all play comfortably, and if we prepare well against the T1 bot lane, which is very strong, I think we'll be fine.

Q. Lastly, a word for the fans, please.

Head Coach Park Jun-seok = I'm very happy we won today. We have one final second-round match left in the regular season, and we will prepare well to win it. Thank you.

'Taeyoon' = I feel the same way. While there is a 'Road to MSI' ticket on the line, as a professional, winning is something we must do, and it feels good when we do. I'll prepare well and make sure we win.
