TL Doublelift discusses LoL Esports schedule post-MSI: "Not having a lot of time off sucks."

Team Liquid had almost no rest between the 2019 Mid-Season Invitational and the 2019 LCS Summer Split, but that didn't stop the North American champion from demolishing TSM on opening day. The Spring Finals rematch was nothing like the five game showdown in St. Louis, as the game spiraled out of control after a triple kill for Team Liquid AD Carry Yiliang "Doublelift" Peng.

Doublelift shared his thoughts the game in an interview with Inven Global's Lara Lunardi regarding the 2019 LoL Esports schedule. After losing to G2 Esports in the MSI 2019 Grand Finals, TL only had 11 days before their first game of the summer split. While that didn't stop them from beating TSM, one could argue their shocking Sunday loss to Echo Fox could have been the product of lack of time to recover and prepare before resuming domestic play.

"Not having a lot of time off sucks," said Doublelift. "Personally I think the schedule should be changed, because we're just getting hard punished. We're definitely playing worse than we should be, and part of it is because we barely had a break before coming back to LCS."

Team Liquid has an easier schedule this coming weekend, with games against 100 Thieves and Counter Logic Gaming. While TL may not be at full strength as of now, this week is an opportunity for them to find their footing and return to form.
