The top-down action game 'Kusan: City of Wolves' has officially launched on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. Physical package versions are also available for the PS5 and Nintendo Switch.
Developed by Circle From Dot, the game follows Jin, a former soldier turned mercenary. Using his expert marksmanship, his steel prosthetic 'War Hand,' and a variety of skills, Jin navigates the corruption-ridden city of Kusan. His mission is to thwart a conspiracy orchestrated by his former commanding officer and protect a girl who possesses a dangerous power capable of destroying the entire city.
The game consists of 54 stages spread across multiple chapters. Players can aim for an S-rank by clearing combat objectives and demonstrating high-level gameplay. Each stage features bosses with unique patterns and combat mechanics, requiring players to learn attack patterns through repeated attempts and secure victory through timing and strategy.
Combat involves combining the War Hand, a quantum knife, and various firearms. Through the 'Tech-trix' system, players can combine skills and upgrades, efficiently arranging them within a limited space to build their own custom loadout.
The soundtrack was composed by Korean hip-hop producer Loptimist, with boom-bap hip-hop tracks integrated throughout the combat sequences. The story is told through graphic novel-style cutscenes, depicting Jin's journey through themes of violence, corruption, and broken trust. The city of Kusan is rendered as a pixel-art cyberpunk metropolis drenched in rain and neon lights.
'Kusan: City of Wolves' is now available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, with physical package versions available for the PS5 and Nintendo Switch.
