On the 31st, Nexon released its massive 'RE:BOOST' summer update for the mobile MMORPG 'MapleStory M,' headlined by the new character 'Ren.'

Ren, the Red-Eyed Wanderer, is a warrior-class character who wields a sword as her primary weapon. To celebrate her arrival, Nexon is hosting various growth-support events, including on-time rewards and a 7-day attendance check. Notably, the 'Ren Level Achievement Event,' which links to the PC version of MapleStory, will run until August 26. Players who link their MapleStory account in MapleStory M and reach specific levels with the Ren character will receive a 'Black Plum Blossom Damage Skin' in MapleStory. In MapleStory M, players can earn rewards such as a 'Petit Ren Pet Chest' and 'Symbol Enhancement Meso Mileage Cards' upon reaching these levels, even without linking an account.

Additionally, 'MapleStory M' is introducing its first-ever 'Challengers World.' Running until September 30, this world allows players to collect 'Challengers Coins' and points through level-up and boss elimination missions to climb from Bronze to Challenger tier. Reaching the Challenger tier grants rewards like 'Legendary Growth Potions' and 'Challengers World Challenger Medal Exchange Tickets,' while the Challengers Shop offers items such as 'Eternal Flame of Reincarnation' and 'Sol Erda.' Furthermore, the world-exclusive boss 'Kai' (for characters level 240 and above) has been added; defeating 'Kai' in the 'Wanderer of Time Kai Defeat Event' offers a chance to obtain items like 'Great Kai's Soul' and 'Kai's Abyssal Accessory Chest.'

Benefits to accelerate growth are also available. The 'Challengers World Hyper Burning' event supports 1+4 level-ups for up to five characters in the world, allowing them to reach level 230 quickly, after which they can be transferred to a desired world via World Leap. The 'Challengers Item Burning' event provides eight pieces of 'Challenger's Equipment,' which grow in power as players complete step-by-step missions. Completing all five stages grants permanent Legendary Root Abyss equipment.

The update also adds a new region, 'Peach Blossom Spring,' to the Grandis continent. To match the region's theme, which features the four seasons depicted in traditional landscape paintings, various summer events are being held. The 'Baekyeon's Combat Training Support' event, running until September 16, is open to characters level 100 and above and provides an additional EXP buff when an event character is designated. The 'Wanderer's Footsteps' event, running until August 26, allows players to earn various growth-support items by completing missions with the 'Ren' character.

Furthermore, the update includes Mileage and Coin Shop events. The Sunshine Mileage Shop, open until October 7, offers items like 'Sunshine Gloria' (which provides a 10% final damage increase) and 'Sunshine Supreme' (which provides a 10% critical hit damage increase). The Peach Blossom Spring Coin Shop, open until September 20, allows players to exchange 'Heavenly Peaches' collected during events for items such as 'Restoration Spellbooks' and 'Choice Cubes.'
