TEKKEN: Board Game Campaign Reaches Goal in Under an Hour

Go On Board’s new crowdfunding campaign for TEKKEN – The Board Game, based on Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc.’s iconic fighting series, launched Wednesday on Gamefound and reached €230,000 in pledges within its first 24 hours. The project has attracted a growing base of backers eager for exclusive content and early-bird pricing.

Developed by Polish studio Go On Board, the tabletop adaptation aims to translate the fast-paced combat of its digital counterpart into dynamic board-game mechanics. Players select from eight starter characters—Jin, Kazuya, King, Paul, Asuka, Nina, Yoshimitsu and Jack-8—each represented by detailed 50 mm miniatures and unique attack cards, combo sequences and RAGE arts. Multiple play modes are available, ranging from solo scenarios to tournaments of up to eight participants.

The campaign also unveiled its first expansion lineup, introducing Xiayou, Panda, Jun and Leroy, each bringing fresh strategies and miniature sculpts. Go On Board has hinted at additional character reveals, promising surprises for retro TEKKEN enthusiasts and long-time fans.

Łukasz Woźniak, co-founder of Go On Board, said the team has lined up plenty of surprises for backers, making sure that fan-favorite fighters will all be included in the board game. He hinted that there’s much more to come—enough to delight every player—and even promised a special treat for long-time TEKKEN fans. He encouraged everyone to keep an eye on the campaign, as a wave of new expansions is on the way.

Backers pledging for at least the core box will receive gamefound-exclusive bonuses, including free stretch-goal content that reduces the effective price compared to estimated retail value by half. These limited-edition items and miniatures will not be available in regular retail channels, enhancing both gameplay and collector appeal.

With reduced early-bird pricing and bonus content available only through Gamefound, the campaign encourages supporters to join now. Daily updates, videos and surprise announcements are planned throughout the funding period. For more information, visit the TEKKEN – The Board Game project page on Gamefound.
