A new season of Hearthstone Grandmasters started last week with the release of United in Stormwind. This article summarizes the results of the first week of competition and lists the deck line-ups that helped the champions to their respective 1st places.

Asia-Pacific

Taiwanese player GivePLZ won the first week of the new Grandmasters season. He went 2-1 in the group stages and 3-0 in top 8, playing an aggressive lineup with Face Hunter, Elemental Doomhammer Shaman, Quest Mage, and Quest OTK Demon Hunter.

Here are the Asia-Pacific Grandmasters standings after week 1. Note that Posesi is tied for first place despite not earning any points this week because 5 points were awarded to the champions of 2021 Grandmasters Season 1. 

Europe

In Europe, Gaby won his first week of Grandmasters with a perfect 5-0 score across group stage and top 8. He played a lineup with three Quest decks (Quest OTK Demon Hunter, Quest Mage, Quest 6 Demons Warlock) and an aggressive Secret/Stealth Paladin.

The incredible fact about this week's Grandmasters was that the top 4 was exactly the same as the top 4 of Masters Tour Ogrimmar. Masters Tour Ogrimmar (Apr. 30 - May 2) was a tournament with hundreds of players from the world and Gaby and Floki were not Grandmasters at the time.

Americas

In the Americas, familiar face Muzzy won the first week of Grandmasters. He brought a very unique lineup, completely dissimilar to GivePLZ's or Gaby's lineups. With Anacondra Druid, Control Priest, Quest Rogue, and Quest Zoo Warlock, Muzzy also made a perfect run of 5-0 to take the crown.
