Gravity Game Vision (GGV), the Hong Kong branch of global game company Gravity, officially launched 'Ragnarok: The New World'—the first open-world MMORPG based on the Ragnarok IP—in Southeast Asia on the 16th.

Gravity Game Vision (GGV) has released Ragnarok: The New World for both mobile and PC. The mobile version is available on Google Play and the Apple App Store in each region, while the PC version can be played by installing the client from the official website. It is also available for download on Steam.
True to its open-world MMORPG nature, Ragnarok: The New World maximizes convenience and freedom across vast fields. It significantly lowers the burden of character growth by allowing unlimited stat and skill resets, and ensuring that equipment is not destroyed upon failed upgrades, with safe enhancement up to +15. An offline auto-hunt system allows players to continue earning rewards even when not logged in. The game also offers rich social content, including costume customization, party play, street stalls, and marriage. Notably, the marriage system provides special perks for couples, such as exclusive two-person teleportation and a shared photo album. Additionally, defeating MVP bosses offers a chance to obtain them as exclusive mounts.
The launch version introduces the 'Druid,' a new class appearing for the first time in a mobile Ragnarok game. Druids can transform into human, beast, and raptor forms, switching between them freely to experience high-level combat in terms of movement and skills. The game also features eight classes, including traditional ones, with the ability to change classes freely. Players can experience all classes with a single character and create their own combat style through endless skill combinations.
During the pre-launch CBT in Southeast Asia, the game received positive feedback, with players noting: 'The art quality is among the best in the Ragnarok series,' 'The depth of character growth strategy and high level of freedom made it very immersive,' 'The mechanics between open-world exploration and dungeon content are interesting, with new fun and discoveries everywhere,' 'Rich social features like guilds, couple systems, and 5-player parties highlight the community aspect,' and 'There is little burden regarding monetization or repetitive play.'
Gravity Game Vision (GGV) has prepared a variety of launch events. First, users who log in by August 16 will receive a costume, profile frame, and a limited 'Monster Rookie' title from promotional model BABYMONSTER. Regardless of the period, defeating designated MVPs will reward players with a classic Angel Poring Headband. All users who participated in the pre-launch guild creation event will receive a title, and guilds in the top 100 for guild points will receive additional rewards.
Kim Jin-hwan, President of Gravity Game Vision (GGV), stated, "We are delighted to officially introduce our first open-world Ragnarok title, Ragnarok: The New World, to users in Southeast Asia. We are confident that we will meet the expectations shown by players during the CBT." He added, "We hope you enjoy the limitless adventure offered by the vast scale and overwhelming freedom of Ragnarok: The New World. We also look forward to your participation in our launch events."
