Nexon announced on the 26th that it has released the second season update for its MMORPG 'Mabinogi Mobile,' titled 'Light and Darkness.'

The centerpiece of this update is the new main story, 'Goddess Descent Chapter 5: Light and Darkness.' The narrative begins as anomalies across Eirínn reveal that the Dragonhood has been preparing a secret ritual. Players must track down the Dragonhood and confront the new threat looming over Eirínn. The level cap has also been increased to 100.

New regions and dungeons have been added. 'Pale Mountain' is a hunting ground depicted as a mountain for spirits that have lost the light of life. By defeating the field boss 'Angrboda,' players can obtain loot such as 'Red Moon Seals,' Mystic Dice Key Chests, and Enchantments. The 'Runda Dungeon,' set in an ancient aqueduct, and the 'Fiord Dungeon,' set in a forest where a goddess once resided, are also now open.

On July 2, the new abyss, 'Runda Abyss,' will be updated. This content features a path leading through a ghost ship and underwater caves into the deep sea, where players will face three bosses in sequence: 'Caldred,' 'Deathpel,' and 'Terosa.' Each boss features unique combat mechanics, such as shipwreck gimmicks, berserk Sahagins, and coordinated attacks with the Kraken.

The new raid, 'Kabrak,' will be released on July 16. Kabrak, a dragon that wields the power of sand and earth, uses breath attacks that sweep across the entire area and petrification attacks. The raid is designed so that attack patterns intensify as the battle progresses, making party cooperation essential.

New progression systems are also being introduced. The season-exclusive 'Traces of Night' consists of passive skills that enhance the combat capabilities of each class. The server-wide progression system, 'Soulstream,' is composed of three elements: 'Star,' 'Dwarf Star,' and 'Soul.' In this system, the production speed of Souls varies based on the combined combat power, vitality, and charm of all characters on the server.

Activating a 'Star' provides benefits such as increased attack power, improved Soul production, and boosted EXP. 'Dwarf Stars' are used to enhance base stats related to combat and daily life.

Events commemorating the Season 2 update are also underway. Through a 'D-DAY Coupon' released on the day of the update, Nexon is providing 'Tiny Angel Wing Bags' until July 31. In the 'Weekly Eirínn Journey!' event, which runs until July 16, players can complete missions to earn 'Heart-Pounding Deka Chests.' These chests contain Deka and Eirínn Journey Tokens, which can be exchanged for items like 'Hair Color Coupons' and event costumes at the 'Strange Cat's Journey Shop.'

Attendance and growth support events have also been prepared. The 'New Beginning! Attendance Event,' running until July 9, rewards players with 'Amplification Shards' and 'Reincarnation Stones' for seven days of cumulative attendance. Until July 16, the 'Catalyst-Rich! Rune Upgrade Support Event' will provide 'Alchemy Re-combustion Catalysts' based on rune upgrade missions.

The 'Eirínn Burning Challenge' event for new characters will run until September 17. This event offers growth support items, including a '★8 Legendary Weapon +12 Bound Enhancement Ticket.' For returning players, the 'Welcome Back Adventurer Attendance Event' provides rewards such as 'Premium Fashion/Pet Tickets (7 days)' and 'Reincarnation Stones.'
