Nexon announced on the 11st that it has begun pre-registration for 'Light and Darkness,' the Season 2 update for the MMORPG 'Mabinogi Mobile,' developed by its subsidiary devCAT.

The Season 2 update centers on the main story, 'Goddess Descent Chapter 5: Light and Darkness,' and introduces a variety of content, including new hunting grounds, dungeons, and an Abyss. Players can experience a new narrative centered on thwarting a conspiracy to awaken an ancient power and explore the 'Pale Mountain,' a new hunting ground where life has faded and spirits roam.

New dungeons are also being added. The 'Runda Dungeon,' set in the waterways of an ancient civilization, and the 'Fiord Dungeon,' located in a forest region, will debut alongside the 'Runda Abyss,' a new Abyss set in the deep sea beneath the waterways.

Nexon will accept pre-registrations for the Season 2 update through the official pre-registration page, the Kakao pre-registration page, and Nexon Play until the 24th.

Participants who pre-register via the official page will receive the 'Little Dragon Bonnet' equipment, the 'Archaeologist' title, and the 'Dragon Breath' emote. Users who pre-register via Kakao will receive 10 Fashion Tickets, 3 Elite Food Selection Chests, 10 Superior Auto-Recovery Potions, and 100k Gold, while those who pre-register via Nexon Play will receive 500 Nexon Play points.

A pre-registration commemorative event will also be held. Through a 'Lucky Draw Number' lottery issued on the official pre-registration page, participants can win various prizes, including a Galaxy S26 Ultra & Nao Accessory Edition, Nintendo Switch 2, and Apple AirPods 4 ANC. Additionally, users who log in to the official page between the 18th and 25th will receive daily item coupons for rewards such as Gold, Gem Skill Refiners, Rune Reset Prisms, and Star Prism Chests.

Meanwhile, Nexon plans to host an online showcase titled 'Big Campfire' on the 19th at 6:00 PM to provide a detailed introduction to the key content and features of the Season 2 'Light and Darkness' update.
