Notably, the 'Advanced Access' period, which allowed players to start playing on the 24th, contributed to early sales figures that are now reflected in the rankings.

However, despite the high ranking, the PC version has faced negative feedback. Forced logins—likely due to ongoing server issues—have led to queues and login failures. Other reported issues include bugs, frame rate drops, and cutscenes locked at 30 FPS.

Nevertheless, the fully rebuilt visuals and gameplay that preserves the feel of the original have been well-received. The prequel missions have also drawn positive reactions for their seamless integration with the existing campaign.
