NC (co-CEOs Kim Taek-jin, Park Byung-moo) released a major update for its MMORPG 'Aion 2' on July 1, titled 'Chapter 1. Land of Sand and Frost.'

Aion 2 players can now play the newly added 'Brawler' class. The Brawler specializes in frontal attacks and combo-based charges using its exclusive 'Gauntlet' weapon. Players gain 'Fury' by using basic attacks and Active Skills, and enter a 'Berserk' state upon reaching a certain Fury gauge threshold. To celebrate the new class launch, NC is providing all players with one free Character Slot.

The character progression system in Aion 2 has been overhauled. The maximum level has been increased to 50, and Stigma Skills can now be upgraded up to level 25. The territories of 'Morheim' and 'Eltnen' have been added for Asmodians and Elyos, respectively, along with new content to earn growth rewards: △Sealed Dungeons, △Garrisons, and △Monoliths. New 'Pendant' equipment has been added, alongside Epic grade 'Amulets' and 'Belts.

The new Expedition Dungeon 'Fallen Deva's Castle' and Transcendence Dungeon 'Abyssal Horn Cave' have been unveiled. The entry requirement is level 50 with a minimum Item Level of 3500. The Item Level requirement increases based on difficulty.

New systems have been introduced for dungeon content. Players can now ride pets inside dungeons. Entry tickets for Expedition and Transcendence dungeons have been removed, and rewards can now be obtained using 'Od Energy.' Party sizes for Expedition and Transcendence dungeons have been increased to 5 players, while Sanctuary dungeons now accommodate 10 players.

Changes have also been applied to Aion 2's solo dungeons, 'Nightmare' and 'Awakening War.' Players can encounter new bosses in Nightmare floor IV. Clearing specific stages now grants all rewards from previous stages at once. A 'Destruction' difficulty for Awakening War has been added, requiring a Item Level of 4k to enter.

Aion 2 has significantly bolstered its PVP content with the launch of 'Surface of Chaotic Ereshkigal' and 'Battlefield: Occupation War.' The Surface of Chaotic Ereshkigal is a region with restricted Item Level and Combat Power where bosses and artifacts do not appear. Battlefield: Occupation War is a mode where players earn points by capturing three designated zones, with all teams starting under identical conditions.

NC has prepared benefits for new and returning players. Users who are new to the game or those who have returned after June 14 following 28 days of inactivity will be marked with a 'Sprout Badge.' Regular players who enjoy dungeon content (Expedition, Transcendence, Sanctuary) with a badge-holder will receive '50% of the Od Energy' used by the Sprout user. The Sprout Badge lasts for 30 days and is removed once the user reaches a specified Combat Power and Item Level, or when the duration expires.

Four types of 'Growth Support' packages are available to help returning players level up quickly. Players can purchase these from the Shop to activate them: 'Exciting First Steps' for △Equipment and instant completion of Garrison, Sealed Dungeon, and Trace of the Lord content; 'New Soar' to quickly reach △300K Combat Power; 'New Continent Explorer' for growth materials like △Tuning Stones and appearance Chests; and 'Slow and Steady' to earn various △Resources like Enhancement Stones, Amplification Stones, and Soul Crystals through repeatable missions.
