Riot Games announced on the 26th that 'Riftbound,' a physical trading card game (TCG) based on the 'League of Legends' universe, will officially launch in Korea this September.
'Riftbound' is a physical strategy game utilizing the 'League of Legends' IP. Players build decks in an offline setting and compete in matches where two to four people battle to control the battlefield.
The first Korean-language version, 'Origin,' is scheduled for release in Korea this September. Riot Games also unveiled the official social media channels and website where players can find launch updates.
'Riftbound' has been available in North America, Europe, and China since 2025. Ahead of the September launch in Korea, the game will hold its first offline event in Daejeon to meet local players.
Riot Games will operate an official 'Riftbound' booth at the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) held at the Daejeon Convention Center (DCC) Exhibition Center II in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon, and at the MSI Fan Festa at the Hanbit Tower Square in Expo Science Park from July 3 to 12. Visitors to the booth will be the first in Korea to experience the 'Riftbound' demo deck.
Exclusive content commemorating the Korean launch is also in development. Riot Games announced that it plans to introduce special content celebrating the World Championship victory of the 'League of Legends' pro team T1.
Further details regarding 'Riftbound' will be released sequentially.
