DeadPixel Studio, the creators of Machick and Machick 2, announced on May 18 that they have officially unveiled Terraclysm Survivors, a fast-paced online cooperative action roguelike.
This game centers on ridiculously powerful builds, destructive synergies, and total gameplay chaos. Along with this announcement, the official reveal trailer and Steam store page were unveiled.
DeadPixel Studio, known for the magical adventure series Machick, takes on a darker and more chaotic setting in this title, set in a collapsing universe inspired by various apocalyptic myths and diverse interpretations of the end of the world.
In Cataclysm of Terra: Survivors, players gather in an online lobby to select a character and map, then pass through a mysterious portal to dive into a world engulfed by catastrophe. The initially revealed environments are inspired by Greek, Egyptian, Chinese, and Catholic imagery, with more maps to be added via future updates.
Players will fight against overwhelming hordes of enemies within a crumbling world, experimenting with powerful upgrades, destructive abilities, and combinations capable of transforming the battlefield into visual chaos. It starts with survival but quickly expands into screen-filling destruction, spiraling into a spectacular scene where effects overlap and enemies engulf the battlefield. Unlike many roguelikes that prioritize strict balance, it is characterized by embracing experimentation and excess as its core fantasy. The DeadPixel Studio team stated that they wanted every playthrough to feel like surviving in a world that is already crumbling, adding that chaos is both part of the gameplay and part of the universe itself.
Tera: Cataclysm is currently in development for PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch, with release dates for each platform to be announced later. data-nid="18">
