Everything You Need to Know About Riftbouind: Schedule, Cards, and Game Info

Riot Games on Wednesday announced that Riftbound, its forthcoming physical trading card game, will be released in English on October 31, 2025. The first set, titled Origins, will be available through local game stores and the Riot Games online store, with limited preorders opening August 4 at 9 a.m. PT.

Riftbound blends strategic, deck‑building mechanics with the lore and characters of League of Legends. According to Riot, the development team has prioritized accessibility for both veterans of collectible card games and newcomers drawn by the League of Legends universe. “Our goal is to make Riftbound approachable for TCG players and League fans alike, right out of the gate,” said a company spokesperson.

Availability and Preorders

The Origins set will launch simultaneously in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Latin America and Oceania. Players outside these regions should look for further announcements regarding additional regional rollouts and translations, including potential expansions into the Asia-Pacific market in 2026.

Limited preorders for Origins products will begin August 4 on the Riot Games Merch Store. Each Riot ID will be restricted to a maximum of two booster boxes and three copies of each deck product. Riot warns that preorder quantities are capped and likely to sell out quickly.

Products at Launch

Riot Games detailed several formats to suit varying levels of interest and expertise:

Origins: Proving Grounds — A boxed starter set for two to four players, featuring prebuilt decks for Annie, Garen, Lux and Master Yi.

Origins: Champions Decks — Ready‑to‑play decks spotlighting Viktor, Jinx and Lee Sin, designed for immediate play or customization.

Origins: Booster Packs — Individual 14‑card packs offering a selection of common, rare and legendary cards.

Origins: Booster Box — A box of 24 booster packs for players looking to expand collections or draft new decks.

Riot also confirmed the release of themed accessories, including card sleeves and playmats adorned with Ahri, Jinx, Miss Fortune and Volibear, which will roll out in October through participating hobby retailers.

Retail and Event Support

The company encourages enthusiasts to patronize local game stores, which will host Riftbound: Origins Launch Events beginning on October 31. Attendees can participate in organized play and receive a promotional booster pack. A store‑locator tool will go live August 4, helping players identify nearby retailers stocking Riftbound. Select mass‑market outlets may also carry Origins products at launch.

Arcane Boxed Sets and Future Print Runs

Responding to demand, Riot will offer an updated version of the limited‑edition Arcane boxed set first introduced at the TFT Macao Open. Preorders for the English edition will open at the end of August. Meanwhile, the company said it is monitoring market demand closely and plans to adjust print runs as necessary to maintain product availability.

Looking Ahead

Riot teased additional offerings tied to the broader League of Legends ecosystem, including a commemorative Riftbound × Worlds bundle slated for later in the year. Further details on expansion sets, special promotions and organized‑play programs will be shared via the official Riftbound social channels and newsletter.
