PGS 3 to be held May 20-26 in Shanghai with $300,000 prize pool

 

PUBG Global Series 3 (PGS 3) will be held in Shanghai, China. PGS is an international tournament where 24 top professional teams from around the world compete for the honor of being the strongest team. This PGS 3 will feature 14 teams that have performed well in regional tournaments and 10 Global Partner Teams.

 

From Korea, Kwangdong Freecs, Dplus KIA, and GNL Esports, who placed first to third in the 2024 PUBG WEEKLY SERIES (PWS) Phase 1, will compete, with Gen.G joining as a Global Partner Team.

 

In the Americas region, the top three teams, Team Falcons, Shoot To Kill, and Legacy, will participate along with global partner Soniqs. IFrokm the EMEA region, three Global Partner Teams - FaZe Clan, Twisted Minds, and Natus Vincere - along with Virtus.pro and HOWL Esports will compete.

 

In the Asia Pacific region, Cerberus Esports and Daytrade Gaming will join as Global Partner Teams, while From the Future, eArena, Armory Gaming, and Valee Thai Esports have advanced through regional qualifiers.

 

From China, Global Partner Teams 17 Gaming, Four Angry Men, and Petrichor Road will be joined by NewHappy Esports and DD Team (Weibo Gaming).

 

 

PGS 3 will take place from May 20 to 26 at the Global Content Export Center in Shanghai, China, featuring Group Stages and Final Stages.

 

The Group Stage will run from May 20 to 22 over three days. The 24 teams will be divided into three groups of 8 teams each. On day one, groups A and B will compete, on day two, groups B and C, and on day three, groups C and A, with each day featuring six matches.

 

Based on the rankings in the Group Stage, the top 16 teams will advance to the Final Stage. After a rest day, the Final Stage will be held from May 24 to 26 over three days. The team with the highest ranking after 18 matches will be crowned the PGS 3 champion.

 

The total prize pool for PGS 3 is $300,000, with $100,000 awarded to the winning team, and prizes ranging from $40,000 to $1,000 for the remaining teams from 2nd to 24th place.

 

Based on their final rankings, teams will earn PGS points to qualify for the year-end premier international PUBG esports tournament PUBG Global Championship 2024. The top 8 teams with the most PGS points from the four PGS events and the Esports World Cup throughout the year will advance to PGC 2024.
