FC Pro Masters 2026 is a club-based tournament where representatives from four countries—South Korea, China, Thailand, and Vietnam—compete for a total prize pool of $150k and ranking points required to qualify for the top-tier club competition, the FC Pro Champions Cup. The tournament was held successfully in Shanghai, China, from May 28 to 31, with South Korean teams T1 and GEN CITY drawing significant attention from global fans.
T1 finished first in their group during the preliminary stage with a solid record of two wins and one loss. They advanced to the finals after defeating Thailand's strong title contender, ADV, in the semifinals. In the final match, T1 engaged in a tense battle against China's ADJ, the tournament's breakout team, trading wins through the first four sets. In the subsequent fifth and sixth sets, T1 utilized their signature aggressive soccer style to secure a 4-2 victory, marking a historic first-ever FC Online esports championship for the team.
As the champions, T1 was awarded $52k in prize money. Furthermore, T1 secured a spot in the FC Pro Champions Cup 2026, the premier club tournament with a total prize pool of $300,000, scheduled to be held from October 13 to 19, signaling a bright outlook for the second half of the international season. Meanwhile, fellow South Korean representative GEN CITY concluded their tournament run in the semifinals.
