Gen.G has found its form. Following a win over Hanwha Life Esports, the team dominated KT, which had been on a winning streak, with an overwhelming performance.
Gen.G secured a dominant victory over kt Rolster in the Legend Group match of the 2026 LoL Champions Korea (LCK) regular season Round 3, held at LoL PARK in Jongno on the 7th. Although Gen.G had been struggling significantly during the opening week, they seemed to have regained their form, controlling both Games 1 and 2 in one-sided fashion to take the series.
Game 1 was a 'perfect victory' for Gen.G from the start. kt Rolster’s bottom duo, opting for Lucian and Milio, conceded early kills, allowing 'Ruler' Park Jae-hyuk’s Kog'Maw—supported by Lulu—to scale rapidly. Once Gen.G seized the initiative, they methodically snowballed their lead. By the 23rd minute, the gold gap had widened to over 5k.
After picking off 'Cuzz' Moon Woo-chan’s Vi, Gen.G easily secured Baron. With the Baron Buff, they marched into the base, wiped the enemy team, and destroyed the Nexus. It was a perfect 11-0 kill score and 6-0 tower victory. kt Rolster’s only objectives were three Voidgrubs and one Dragon, and Vi’s total damage dealt remained at just 1k after nearly 30 minutes of play.
In Game 2, kt Rolster brought out 'Perfect' Lee Seung-min’s Jayce, a champion he had been undefeated on, while Gen.G countered with Olaf. kt Rolster started strong with a 2-1 kill trade during a Voidgrub skirmish, but they were caught out while contesting the Dragon, leading to the death of 'Bdd' Kwak Bo-seong’s Orianna. In the top lane, 'Kiin' Kim Gi-in’s Olaf secured a solo kill.
Leveraging the pressure from Olaf and 'Chovy' Jung Ji-hun’s Galio, Gen.G gained advantages in side-lane skirmishes. In the mid lane, 'Ruler's Ezreal took down a tower solo and landed a clutch ultimate to pick off 'Fenrir' Park Kang-jun’s Kai'Sa. Having built a 10k-gold lead by the 22nd minute, Gen.G pushed in with the Baron Buff to close out the series.
