Nexon (co-CEOs Kang Dae-hyun and Kim Jung-wook) announced on the 2nd that it has updated its popular online FPS game 'Sudden Attack' with 2026 Season 3, 'Paradox.'

The new character for this season, 'C. Vera,' is designed with a concept centered on hidden truths existing between illusion and reality; players receive this character upon activating the Sudden Pass. Additionally, the new bolt-action sniper rifle 'RSR Paradox,' which slows the movement speed of hit enemies, is available as a reward for reaching level 60 of the Sudden Pass.

The Reboot Pass, which can be activated upon reaching level 60 of the Sudden Pass, provides 'RSR 1st Upgrade Ticket' and 'RSR 2nd Upgrade Ticket.' Players can also earn additional rewards such as the 'Paradox Weapon Selection Ticket' and 'C. Vera Special Set' by meeting conditions like activation counts or first-come-first-served milestones. Furthermore, a Pass Shop will be operated where players can collect 'PP' through pass progression to exchange for items such as the 'Paradox Weapon Upgrade Ticket,' which adds 'My Gun+' upgrade effects.

The update also marks the start of new seasons for competitive content, including Integrated Season Matches, Rank Matches, Clan Rank Matches, and Survival Mode. Starting this season, honor rewards for Rank Matches—such as exclusive card frames, save animations, and spectator animations—will be distributed based on the final grade of the previous season, while nameplates, art grenades, and barracks notebook animations will be awarded based on the current season's grade. Survival Mode will operate on a rotation system, swapping between the 'Rodeo,' '3rd Supply Base,' 'Demo Complex,' and 'Final Zone' maps at set intervals. Additionally, the 'Sudden Club' will be available, offering various benefits such as exclusive weapons, camouflage rank usage rights, and access to the VIP shop as players accumulate 'VIP Points' to increase their grade during the season.

To celebrate the new season, a 'Sudden Live' broadcast will be held on the official 'Sudden Attack' SOOP channel on the 2nd at 8:00 PM. The official broadcast will showcase the new update and content, and a Drops event will be held simultaneously, rewarding viewers with items like 'RSR Paradox,' 'Sudden LIVE Container,' 'Sudden LIVE Keycard,' and '5k Nexon Cash Entry Tickets' based on cumulative viewing time.

Various in-game events have also been prepared. First, the popular 'Ice Breaking' event will be replaced by the summer-themed 'Sand Digging' event, running until July 23. By completing daily missions to collect shovels and digging through sand, players can earn rich rewards, including new items like the 'GAL-1_v2(I) Sun (Permanent)' as well as 'AK47(IK) Heavy Double (Permanent),' 'TRG21(IS) Double (Permanent),' Survival Mode Keycards, and 'My Gun 2 Jumping Kits.'

Additionally, until July 6, players who enter a specific phrase in the in-game global chat daily will receive daily rewards such as 'Permanent Magazine (2)' and 'Jackpot Point Chests.' Furthermore, players who log in at a Internet cafe by July 30 will receive a 1-level boost to their 'My Gun 2' set effects and access to 'Double' series Internet cafe-exclusive weapons. A Internet cafe shop will also be operated, where players can exchange 'Internet cafe coins' earned through playtime for items like 'Survival Mode Platinum Keycards' and 'My Gun 2 Jumping Kit Selection Tickets.'
