PlayinWorld announced on the 23rd that it will officially launch 'GODIUS: Eternal War,' the global Steam version of its classic 2D MMORPG Godius, on June 27.
Ahead of the official launch, the game successfully completed two rounds of global Closed Beta Testing (CBT) in June, verifying its gameplay through tests of core content and large-scale RvR events.
GODIUS: Eternal War features a comprehensive renewal, including graphical improvements, to ensure a stable experience for players worldwide. Notably, the global version supports 11 languages, including English and Japanese, significantly enhancing accessibility for the global community. With anticipation building among long-time domestic users and international communities—particularly in Japan and across YouTube channels—the game is drawing attention as a potential new force in the global online RPG market.
Built on unique retro 2D pixel graphics, the game centers on a war between two nations, offering diverse content such as national wars, guild wars, arenas, dungeons, raids, and infinite PVP against enemy nations. Players can create unique characters by combining various hairstyles, hair colors, and outfits, and further showcase their style through a wide range of costumes and weapon skins.
Compared to the original version, the game includes improved inventory convenience and a growth support system featuring beginner tutorials, allowing new and returning players to start without barriers.
A spokesperson for PlayinWorld stated that Godius is a historic title that has been enjoyed by users in Korea and Japan for 27 years. They added that this global Steam launch aims to provide nostalgia for existing players while delivering the classic charm of 2D pixel-art MMORPGs to a new global audience.
