Daewon Media Game Lab announced that it is partnering with CRT GAMES to release 'Tumblepop: Memories,' a remake of the classic retro arcade game 'Tumblepop,' for the Nintendo Switch.
In collaboration with global game publisher Playasia, Daewon Media plans to launch the title in North American and European markets as well. First appearing in arcades in 1991 and beloved for its unique cooperative gameplay and charming visuals, 'Tumblepop' has been faithfully recreated in this remake, preserving the original stage-clearing mechanics and co-op elements while supporting up to two-player local co-op.
'Tumblepop: Memories' includes both the 1991 arcade version and the 1992 Game Boy version, allowing players to experience the game with its original retro feel. Additionally, it offers a variety of new content, including new stages and challenge modes not found in the original. Developer CRT GAMES explained that 'Tumblepop: Memories' is more than a simple restoration; it is a reinterpretation that bridges generations, designed to let players rediscover the joy of arcade gaming by blending the original's charm with modern sensibilities.
'Tumblepop: Memories' will be available for hands-on demos for the first time at the Daewon Media booth during PlayX4 2026, which begins on May 21, 2026, at KINTEX in Ilsan. Further information regarding the game will be provided at a later date via the official Daewon Media Game Lab website.
