The third set for Riot Games' physical trading card game (TCG) Riftbound: League of Legends Trading Card Game has launched today, bringing over 220 new cards, 12 new champions, and a pair of major new mechanics to the game.
According to a release, Riftbound: Unleashed leans into a jungle theme, drawing on iconic locations and monsters from the League of Legends universe, including Baron Nashor. Twelve champions join the card pool with the set, among them Rengar, Vi, Poppy, and LeBlanc.
Two new mechanics headline the set. The XP system allows players to accumulate power across a match before triggering high-impact plays, while the Ambush keyword enables surprise attacks at pivotal moments. Token mechanics have also been introduced as a new way to generate value and shift momentum mid-game. Players can pick up Riftbound: Unleashed through the official Riot Games Store and select local game stores. The set is available as booster packs, Champion Decks, and the all-in-one Vault.
Competitive Play
Unleashed is legal for competitive play immediately, with Regional Qualifiers scheduled across multiple regions throughout May and June. Upcoming stops include:
- Sydney (May 15th–17th)
- Vancouver (May 29th–31st)
- Utrecht (June 12th–14th)
- Hartford (June 19th–21st)
Twelve Regional Qualifiers are planned across 2026 in total, spanning North America, EMEA, and APAC.

What's next for Riftbound
Two further sets are already confirmed for later in the year. Riftbound: Vendetta is scheduled to release on July 31st, followed by Riftbound: Radiance on October 23rd. Riftbound is published in partnership with UVS Games, the tabletop publisher behind the long-running CCG UniVersus.
