Tournament Format and Schedule for the 2019 Call of Duty World League Anaheim


The 2019 Call of Duty World League (CWL) Anaheim is just around the corner. This year, the CWL Anaheim will be held in the Anaheim Convention Center, once the venue for the Call of Duty National Championship that took place 10 years ago. 

Starting on the 14th of June, a total of 16 pro teams will compete for a $325,000 prize pool.  The teams will be sorted into 4 pools of 4 teams each. The "Pool Play" group stage will be held in a best of 5 round robin. Top 2 teams for each pool will advance to the Championship Bracket Winner's Round 1 and the bottom 2 will compete in the Loser's Bracket Round 1. Both brackets will be held in a double elimination format. And after a total of 6 rounds, the Grand Finals awaits on the 16th. 

The "Open Bracket", completely for amateur players, will also take place during the CWL Anaheim 2019. A total of 192 amateur teams will compete for a $75,000 prize pool. The Open Tournament will be held in a double elimination format in bo3s. Series will be held in bo5s starting for the top 16 rounds.
