On December 24th, Ambition announced that he will be retiring from pro gaming during his stream on Twitch. After leaving Gen.G Esports, Ambition wished to stay in Korea this year but also commented that it will not be easy for him to stay as good as what he used to be. He said that he plans to keep his focus on streaming while communicating with his fans.

Ambition made his first debut by playing for MiG Blaze in the year 2012; he was renowned for his performance as a mid laner when his team was placed first in the first LCK.

Although it seemed his performance was going downhill afterward, he changed his role to jungler prior to the LCK 2015 Splits and managed to enter the 2nd part of the golden era in his gaming career.

His performance was at the very top when his team, Samsung Galaxy, made it to the League of Legends World Championship in both 2016 and 2017, placing first and second in each tournament. Having his achievements recognized, he was featured in the music video for the 2018 Worlds theme song by Riot Games, ‘RISE’.

Meanwhile, with Ambition retiring, all players of MiG have now retired from pro gaming; Reapered, RapidStar, Woong, and Lustboy are currently coaches, while MadLife, Shy, and Captain Jack have become streamers.
