The LCK representatives are off to China to participate in the 2018 Rift Rivals.

On July 5th, the 2018 LoL Rift Rivals for the LCK/LPL/LMS will be held in Dalian, China and will feature the best teams from Korea, China, and Taiwan respectively. The representing teams are the teams which qualified 1st - 4th in the previous Spring split for each region. For the LCK, Kingzone DragonX, Afreeca Freecs, kt Rolster, and SKT T1 will be performing.

We were able to meet with the SKT T1 players first, as they were the first to arrive at the airport. Lee “Wolf” Jae-wan and Kang “Blank” Sun-gu seemed to be excited to go against the foreign teams. “This might seem like a boring answer, but we’ll do our best to win the trophy.”

Bae “Bang” Jun-sik and Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok both kept a humble mindset, admitting that they “can’t be sure about winning the trophy.” The players were excited to prove and improve themselves, claiming that the event would be “a good chance to learn.”

Afterwards, players from Afreeca Freecs, kt Rolster and Kingzone DragonX were interviewed. Go “Score” Dong-bin seemed eager to win an international tournament trophy, joking about his hope “that my team’s teammates and the players from other teams will work together and give me a trophy this time.”

In the 2018 Rift Rivals, Kingzone DragonX will face RNG once again and Faker will be facing Song “Rookie” Eui-jin in the mid lane. Also, the former LPL players, Cho “Mata” Se-hyeong and Kim “Deft” Hyeok-kyu will be going against Uzi.
