With SKT T1 coming in 4th in the Spring split, their ADC, Bae “Bang” Jun-sik will be performing for the 2018 Rift Rivals. When we spoke with him on his way to China, he kept a humble mindset. “I think it is a great chance to learn. We and IG finished at the same rank, but they are currently performing very well.”
Bang looked excited to meet his former teammate Lee “Duke” Ho-seong. “I’m going to do my best. It’s going to be an interesting match since Duke will be participating.”
The ADC also spoke about his thoughts on the current meta. “I might go mid, or I might use a different champion that’s not a traditional ADC champ.”
When asked which team he wanted to face, he answered “RNG”. Bang elaborated on his choice, stating “I’m not just focusing on the matchup against Uzi. I want to face the team since they beat a Korean team and became the champions [of MSI].”
He added, “The tournament hasn’t started yet, so I can’t be sure about winning the trophy. However, I think that the LCK is still a step ahead in the meta.”
On July 6th, SKT T1 will be facing the LPL Spring split 4th place team, IG in the 2018 Rift Rivals. If Korea meets China in the semifinals or the finals, SKT T1 might go against RNG.
