Microsoft has unveiled a special Xbox Series X that appears to have been swallowed whole by an alligator. Surprisingly, the console is fully functional for gameplay.
On November 3, Xbox revealed the specially custom-built Xbox Series X-BITE. Inspired by Florida, this unique creation features a distinct concept where a giant alligator has swallowed an Xbox Series X whole.
The special Xbox console appears to be part of a marketing campaign tied to GTA 6. It incorporates the alligator featured in the GTA 6 trailer, and Florida serves as the real-world inspiration for the State of Leonida, where GTA 6's primary setting of Vice City is located, making it almost impossible not to think of GTA 6. Although Xbox made no direct mention of GTA 6, gamer reactions have largely centered on the game, with many commenting that they initially thought it was an April Fools' joke.

Measuring over 1.5 meters from head to tail, the alligator houses a functioning Xbox Series X inside its body, which can be seen through an illuminated Xbox logo on its side. Clutched in its jaws is a custom Xbox Wireless Controller stamped with bite marks. The eyes are also decorated with Xbox-signature green irises and pupils styled after the logo.
John Nolan Studio, an animatronics specialist, participated in fabricating the console. The studio has previously created creatures for various productions, including The Witcher, Jurassic World Dominion, and HBO's upcoming Harry Potter series. For this console, they handled everything from 3D modeling to sculpting and fabrication.
Xbox emphasized that no real alligators were used or harmed in the production. It added that while the console is fully playable, it is recommended for display purposes. Only a single unit of the Xbox Series X-BITE was produced, and Xbox is hosting a sweepstakes to give it away as a prize to legal adults residing in the United States.
Meanwhile, GTA 6 is set to launch on PS5 and XSX|S on November 19 KST, with pre-downloads beginning on November 10. The storage space required for download reaches up to 212 GB depending on the device.
