Gaming outlet MP1st reported on October 31, citing anonymous sources familiar with Bend Studio's internal affairs. The year 2027 is said to be the target window for revealing the game, while the title and specific mechanics of its co-op gameplay remain unknown.
Bend Studio's predecessor debuted third-person action in 1999 with 'Syphon Filter'. The studio later released the open-world game 'Days Gone' in 2019, centered on motorcycle exploration and battles against massive Freaker hordes. In April 2025, 'Days Gone Remastered' was released for PS5. Attention now turns to how the new project will blend cooperative mechanics with the studio's familiar third-person perspective.
The studio's development path has seen shifts. In June 2025, Sony decided not to move forward with an unannounced live-service concept Bend Studio had been working on, announcing that the team was shifting focus to its next project. MP1st's report on the non-live-service direction comes following that announcement. However, the connection between the canceled concept and this newly reported title remains unconfirmed.
