In Game 1 of the final match of the 2026 LoL World Championship (Worlds) Swiss Stage, held on November 1 KST at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas, USA, BLG took a 1-0 lead over Hanwha Life Esports following 'knight's' stellar Orianna performance in teamfights.
BLG scored First Blood when 'Xun's' Lee Sin teamed up with 'knight's' Orianna to eliminate 'ZEKA's' Cassiopeia. After a brief lull, a skirmish broke out over the Void Grubs. Here, Hanwha Life Esports took down Nautilus and Vi as 'Delight's' Alistar held his ground firmly. BLG answered back near dragon, securing 2 more kills. In return, Hanwha Life Esports stacked their second dragon.
Hanwha Life Esports followed up by taking the Rift Herald as well. Meanwhile, BLG continued to add kills to gain a gold advantage. For Hanwha Life Esports, having short range while the opponent's Orianna was scaling well posed a major threat. Still, Hanwha Life Esports fought from a favorable angle in the next teamfight, securing significant gains to successfully overturn the gold lead.
The next teamfight ended in an even trade, bringing the dragon count to a 2-2 tie, though Hanwha Life Esports maintained general initiative. Shortly after, BLG picked off Alistar to reach 3 dragon stacks first. By the 34-minute mark, the gold difference was virtually zero as a suffocating silence blanketed the game. Hanwha Life Esports then used Teleport to pick off Lee Sin and Nautilus, securing dragon before moving straight onto Baron.
After successfully securing Baron, Hanwha Life Esports used the Baron buff to push top lane, driving back their opponents and destroying the inhibitor. Against a retreating Hanwha Life Esports, BLG's 'Viper' on Ezreal caught 'Gumayusi's' Corki. A teamfight subsequently broke out over dragon, where BLG crushed Hanwha Life Esports with a massive Shockwave from Orianna to claim Game 1.
