FromSoftware has pushed back the release window for its new Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive title, 'The Duskbloods,' to 2027.

On the 29th, FromSoftware stated via its official X account, "While development is in the final adjustment stage, we have decided to change the release window to 2027." The developer also offered an apology to players who have been eagerly awaiting the release.
The reason for the delay is to secure additional development time. The announcement explained that this time will be used for final adjustments to game rules and balancing in order to realize the core concepts—which received positive feedback during August's network test—at an even higher level of quality. The developer aims to refine not only direct combat but also the ways players can enjoy various strategic approaches and operational play. However, a specific release date or quarter was not disclosed.
The Duskbloods is a multiplayer action game first revealed during the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct in April 2025. Hidetaka Miyazaki, creator of Elden Ring and Bloodborne, serves as director. Featuring an online PvPvE format supporting up to eight players, the title is co-published by Nintendo and FromSoftware.
The game was originally scheduled for a global release in 2026 and held a network test from August 21 to 24. The official website's system specifications section still currently lists a "2026 release" target.
Prior to the network test, FromSoftware invited media to its Tokyo headquarters for a hands-on preview and developer interviews. At the time, President Hidetaka Miyazaki stated that the team would refine character balancing and systems based on the test results. During Inven's hands-on session, the snappy combat—featuring stamina-free attacks and dodge cancels—received positive feedback, though character balance and build diversity were highlighted as areas needing improvement.
