KRAFTON, Inc. announced that cumulative global downloads for Overgeared Hero, developed by its creative studio 5minlab, have surpassed 3 million. The milestone comes about five months after its global launch on May 26.
Overgeared Hero is currently holding its first IP collaboration event with Naver Webtoon's Surviving the Game as a Barbarian. Running until maintenance on November 10, the event allows players to earn growth rewards through a dedicated arena and special in-game events.
The collaboration features 'Bjorn Yandel' and 'Erwen' from Surviving the Game as a Barbarian as playable characters in the game. Collaboration skins featuring 'Misha Karlstein' and 'Arua Raven' have also been added.
Overgeared Hero will also offer a playable demo at the KRAFTON booth during G-STAR 2026, the international game exhibition taking place in Busan this November. Attendees will be able to play the game on-site and experience combat driven by item placement and combination strategies.
Overgeared Hero is a roguelike strategy RPG centered around placing and combining items within a limited inventory space. Players build higher-tier equipment by merging selected items each turn and assemble combat builds while taking item synergies into account. The game also features elements for collecting and powering up gear, pets, and class-specific characters.
