When it comes to motivating players to start or return to a character-collecting game like GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE, nothing beats free pulls. NIKKE has consistently offered generous free recruitment opportunities during its anniversary and half-anniversary events, with rewards scaling up over time. This time, players can pull up to 230 times for free. You can claim 10 Advanced Recruit Vouchers and 10 Picked Recruit Vouchers as login rewards, along with additional tickets through check-in events and various anniversary activities.

Players can also attempt up to 21 free pulls on each of the upcoming top-tier Pilgrim Pick-Up banners: 'Marian: Queen' and 'Scarlet: Godslayer'. Since daily free recruitments and check-in rewards diminish the longer you wait, it is highly recommended to jump in as early as possible if you are planning to start.

The SSR Pilgrim 'Rapunzel: Sanctuary' can be obtained up to 4 times through login rewards and selection boxes from check-in and story events. She restores team health with Full Charge attacks and boosts the offensive power of adjacent allies at the start of Full Burst. With conditional revival capabilities, she excels at keeping the squad alive.

Granted, she falls somewhat behind Tier 1 Burst II units like Crown in raw performance. Nevertheless, she remains immensely useful for beginners with limited rosters. Newcomers starting during this event can easily assemble a Tier 1 team consisting of a Burst I unit like Liter, free giveaway Rapunzel, and the new variants of Marian and Scarlet.

Two Pilgrim banners will run during this event: 'Marian: Queen' and 'Scarlet: Godslayer'.

Marian's defining feature is pure strength. It is as simple as that—she is stronger than any Nikke released to date. Furthermore, she requires no complex conditions to inflict massive damage and handles virtually every scenario, including single-target, AOE, and boss gimmick mechanics. Requiring no complex manual play or restrictive squad compositions, her sheer power single-handedly reshapes the tier list. She fits the definition of an essential, "must-have" meta character in gacha games.

Scarlet, whose Pick-Up banner starts next week, is also extraordinarily powerful. She can be paired effectively with Marian, offers exceptional versatility, and is expected to shine in endgame content like Solo Raid.

The Pilgrim rerun banners are also worth noting. Players can recruit the Pilgrims Cinderella, Grave, and Nayuta. Cinderella is ideal if you need pure firepower, Grave supports Pierce attackers, and Nayuta offers healing alongside attack support. If you missed Nayuta previously, this is a great chance to grab her. With free pulls included, it is a prime opportunity to expand your Nikke roster.

The biggest draw of NIKKE has always been its narrative—rich world-building, poignant drama emerging from a grim, hopeless world, shocking plot twists, and unexpected turns. The climax of this four-year storyline unfolds in the 4th Anniversary update. Under the title 'Final Battle', all squads rally to face the 'Queen'. With some of the most shocking developments in the game's history awaiting players, experiencing this story alone is reason enough to return.

In the past, under-geared players struggled to progress through NIKKE's story, but this issue has since been resolved. Even if your squad's progression is behind, you can still follow the narrative. The 'Story Mode' feature eases the burden by simplifying stages and lowering required Combat Power. Running until 4:59 AM on November 19, the 'TRAIL MARKER' event grants rewards for clearing the main scenario, and clears on Story difficulty count as well. It is an excellent opportunity to enjoy the backlog of story content while earning valuable rewards.

Commanders who have not logged in for 24 days or more can claim Advanced Recruit Vouchers and growth materials through the revamped returnee event, 'RISE AGAIN'. Additionally, rewards for Daily Missions and Simulation Room are significantly boosted during the event, making it easier to stockpile growth resources.

Various other progression support perks, such as skill resets, are also available.

If you plan to purchase costumes or bundles, 'AFFECTION TRAIL' is well worth a look. By purchasing designated items to collect 'Traces of Affection', players receive milestone rewards based on cumulative totals. The primary reward, 'Eternal Vow', allows players to select one Pilgrim among Crown, Little Mermaid, or Liberalio. Crown, in particular, is an indispensable top-tier Nikke, making this an ideal opportunity to pick her up.

Little Mermaid and Liberalio are also essential Nikkes for high-level endgame content like Union Raid and Solo Raid, making them worthy considerations for players aiming to tackle endgame modes.
