Neptune announced on September 16 that it will sequentially launch five H5 (HTML5) games on the 'LINE Mini App' platform in collaboration with LINE Yahoo's LINE GAME.
The games to be released are 'Office Cat', 'Cat Snack Bar', 'DDDigger', 'Infinite Stairs', and 'Rumble Heroes'. According to Neptune, this collaboration marks the first time LINE GAME directly publishes titles on the LINE Mini App platform, as well as the first entry of Neptune's H5 game business into the Japanese market.
Among these, 'Cat Snack Bar', 'DDDigger', and 'Infinite Stairs' will be showcased at the LINE GAME booth during the Tokyo Game Show. Visitors will be able to play the games directly without requiring a separate download.
Through this partnership, in-app purchases and LINE login features can now be implemented into each game. LINE GAME will also provide marketing support targeting local users. Neptune plans to leverage this to expand the influx of new users in the Japanese market and accelerate the local expansion of its H5 game business.
Seung-hyun Kwon, Head of Neptune's Game Business Division, said, "Given LINE's massive user base, we expect great synergy with Neptune's H5 games," adding, "In the mid-to-long term, we plan to consider onboarding additional titles and expanding our collaboration in the Japanese market."
Hyun-seok Ahn, Director of Neptune's H5 Business Department, will deliver a presentation titled 'Know-How for Porting Native Games to H5' at a conference hosted by LINE GAME on September 17 and 18 during the Tokyo Game Show. He plans to cover methods for maintaining service stability and user experience while converting existing games into lightweight H5 titles.
