
The Korea Manhwa Contents Agency has unveiled the exhibition lineup for the 29th Bucheon International Comics Festival, which will take place from the 18th to the 20th across the area of the Korea Manhwa Museum.
Under the theme "Comics & Webtoons Are Easy for Everyone," this year's festival presents exhibitions covering Bucheon Comics Award winners, works by youth creators, and the history of international exchanges.
The "2026 Bucheon Comics Award Winners Exhibition" introduces Grand Prize winner 'The Greatest Estate Developer', Excellence Award winner 'Penholder', and New Artist Award winner 'Osaka Loop Line'. 'The Greatest Estate Developer' depicts a civil engineering student who is possessed into the body of a noble in a fantasy novel and rebuilds a ruined territory using modern civil engineering knowledge.
Marking its 27th edition this year, the "National Student Comics Contest Winners Exhibition" will display works by 49 winners, including the Grand Prize winner of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award. The "Our Neighborhood Comic Character Exhibition" will showcase results that express the unique traits and stories of the Bucheon area through comic characters.
Commemorative exhibitions have also been prepared. Marking the 10th anniversary of the Gyeonggi International Cosplay Festival (GICOF), the "GICOF 10th Anniversary" exhibition introduces its growth and memories over the past decade and features visitor-participation events. The International Comic Artist Conference (ICC) 30th Anniversary Special Exhibition "Connection" highlights the history of exchange and solidarity among global comic creators, displaying 16 works submitted from eight regions.
