CFK announced that it will release the PS5 physical edition of the roguelite action RPG 'Nightmare: The Lunatic' on October 16. Pre-orders for the physical edition begin on the 15th, with H2 Interactive handling domestic distribution.
'Nightmare: The Lunatic' was developed by Korean indie studio Maetdol Games. The game follows a protagonist who has lost their memory and is trapped in a never-ending nightmare as they try to destroy the source of the nightmare and escape with the help of a "Dream Merchant." Following its Nintendo Switch release last year, the game is expanding its supported platforms to PS5.
In combat, players can utilize dashes, dodges, and parries, choosing up to three weapons to swap between depending on the situation. The dungeon layout changes with every run, and players can enhance character builds and base stats using contracts and abilities unlocked throughout their adventure.
The PS5 physical release will be available in both a Standard Edition and a First-Print Limited Edition. The First-Print Limited Edition, released as the 'Nightmare: The Lunatic Collector's Edition,' includes the physical base game, a newly illustrated box, an artbook, a 2-CD original soundtrack featuring 27 tracks, and a diorama acrylic stand.
The game is single-player and supports Korean, English, Japanese, and Simplified and Traditional Chinese.
